Business Development Associate (Prop Tech)

We are looking for a sales professional to accelerate our B2B sales efforts across the APAC and the UK for one of our most successful portfolio companies (in the Proptech space) based out of Hong Kong.

In this role, reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, you would be one of the first hires in our sales function, responsible for driving Business Development activity while also participating in refining our sales process/strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for target companies mapping and outreach (primarily real estate residential and commercial agencies as well as developers) with the goal of generating a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Gaining interest through social media, referrals, events, networking, cold calling and more
  • Engaging with potential clients to understand their needs, and whether our solution is a fit for their business
  • Help us refine and develop our sales process
  • Take a consultative, empathetic approach to developing trust-based, long-term partnerships with clients
  • Be the go-to-expert of our platform and to be the bridge in sharing client feedback to the Tech and Marketing teams
  • Take ownership in the process of setting up “demonstration” meetings to showcase the potential of our platform to prospective clients and to closing deals/agreements
  • Work closely with the Customer Success Managers to provide continuity once a new client is acquired

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s level degree
  • 1-3 years B2B Sales/BD experience, ideally in a digital/tech or property related industry
  • Demonstration of effective communication and persuasive selling skills in meetings, pitching and proposal writing

IMS DV is helping scale up OrgHive. OrgHive is a social and content platform that has as its core mission, the goal to help Chinese consumers make healthier, more informed lifestyle choices.

We achieve that by solving the two biggest obstacles to consumers’ buying natural and organic products: (1) distrust of product origin – consumers don’t know if the product they are buying is truly an organic product, and (2) lack of reliable information – consumers don’t know what the benefits are to buying organic or natural products (incl. vegan, plant based and all sustainable good-for-you brands)

At the same time, especially after COVID-19, we’re experiencing a tremendous surge in consumer trends towards health, fitness, and nutrition. Now more than ever consumers are looking for tools that offer solutions to these key concerns.

OrgHive allows brands to easily and cost-effectively reach their target audiences and send them directly to their points of purchase. The successful candidate will actively seek brands to subscribe to the platform, to either launch their brand or grow it in the Chinese market by helping them reach, engage, and convert.

Responsibilities

Aspiring Business Development Associate – Trainee (6 months) - (eCommerce, Wellness and PropTech)

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and uncover new potential sale opportunities
  • Responsible for meeting prospective clients and accompanying the management team on introductory meetings, as well as take the lead in such meetings
  • Represent the company in face-to-face meetings with new clients during the onboarding process
  • Responsible for identifying needs of prospective clients and establishing general scope of work during the first points of contact with the client
  • Working closely with both the sales and marketing teams to produce the necessary materials (such as videos, presentations or case studies) that reflect the needs of prospective clients
  • Coordinate with internal sales, sales support, technical support and service resources (from across the different office locations) to align solution design with customer’s business requirements

Desired Skills

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic content marketer to work both in our Digital Marketing business arm and our Digital Ventures team to support the creative strategy and content creation for some of the most high-profile projects.

The candidate should come from a background with experience in creative communications and possess outstanding written and creative skills in both English and Traditional Chinese. They should be confident in writing for different audiences, including B2B and B2C, as our client portfolio ranges from luxury and lifestyle to next-generation technology!

Responsibilities 

You will be responsible for working with all levels of external and internal clients to develop data-driven strategies and create content for various digital platforms, including marketing campaigns, social media posts, articles and blogs, websites, and advertising.

To succeed in this role, the candidate requires a positive, problem-solving ‘own it’ attitude with meticulous attention to detail and an eagerness to continue learning new skills and platforms.

The candidate will work closely with the Content Marketing Manager and other Marketing team members, and should be able to handle various ad hoc projects under a tight schedule.

  • Identify and assess risks related to people, process, technology and performance management, using recognized industry standards of privacy and data protection frameworks
